Ordinary Discipleship Training

When they saw the courage of Peter and John and realized that they were unschooled, ordinary men, they were astonished and they took note that these men had been with Jesus.  -Acts 4:13

Our passion is to make disciple making disciples of Christ.

Core Values

Roy E. Disney said, "When your values are clear to you, making decisions becomes easier."  With that in mind, Ordinary functions with these values:

To Educate

There is a very clear biblical mandate on discipleship (Matthew 28:19, 2 Timothy 2:2, Matthew 9:37-38) and we want to take that message to the heart of the church.  We seek to have honest, biblical conversations with Christ followers and churches on how that message needs to be carried to their body of faith.

To Equip

We believe God does not call the equipped but equips the called. (Hebrews 13:21, 2 Timothy 3:16-17, Ephesians 4:11-12)  Our passion is to join with Christ and help equip student and adult leaders to lead in and through discipleship in their local body.

To Journey With

We want to walk with local churches. (Acts 2:44, Ecclesiastes 4:9-12, 1 Thessalonians 5:11)  We do not want to hand them some ideas or curriculum to read over and expect them to figure out how this may work for their church.  We always want to journey with them to discover how discipleship may look at their body of faith.  We then desire to follow up to support them.

To Serve

Servant leadership is at our foundation.  (Matthew 20:25-26, John 13:12-15, Ephesians 5:21, Romans 12:9-10) Our desire is not to change the way a church does ministry, but to serve and support them in developing discipleship within that body.
