Ordinary Discipleship Training

When they saw the courage of Peter and John and realized that they were unschooled, ordinary men, they were astonished and they took note that these men had been with Jesus.  -Acts 4:13

Our passion is to make disciple making disciples of Christ.

Our Purpose

The heartbeat of Ordinary is to serve and support the local church wherever "local" is.  We want to be a resource in helping churches and ministries develop discipleship and leadership strategies that work for that body.  Through the lenses of engaging, equipping, and empowering we want to give leaders ideas, strategies, and tools to take back into their ministries and lead in and through discipleship.  We believe the words leadership and discipleship must be interchangeable.  Where leaders are making more leaders, they are making disciples.

The heart of Ordinary is to take students and show them the importance of discipleship, show them the importance of walking with Christ, show them the importance of having a mentor in their life who guides them, who disciples them, and then challenges them to go and do the same.
— Jonathan Nason, Family Life Pastor, CrossGates Baptist

Our Mission

Our mission is to serve the church as they "...go and make disciples of all nations..." (Matthew 28:19)  We seek to have honest conversations about what that looks like in that faith community and to be a resource to the church for continued growth.

We accomplish this through three avenues:

Conferences  Coaching  Teaching

Our Team

Eric Foshee: Director/Speaker/Coach

Eric is passionate about discipleship and student leadership and loves the chance to talk about either to whomever.  He loves the word of God and loves getting students engaged in it.

After spending four years in the Marine Corps, he moved home to study string bass performance at McNeese State University and loved studying and playing Jazz.  He has had the opportunity to play in several bands in both secular and worship settings, even spending some time traveling with some.

He eventually found his calling in student ministry and discipleship.

In September of 2006, Eric was asked to come on staff at CrossRoads Church in Moss Bluff, LA and has been there ever since.

In his time at CrossRoads, Eric has created a truly student led, student fed ministry engaging teenagers in day in, day out disciple making in their schools, homes, and lives.

Eric is married to Holly and they have two children: Michael and Matti.  They are both passionate about worship, relationships, and showing the love of Christ.
